Novameta moved to a 3 times larger factory in Kaunas

One of the largest stainless-steel professional kitchen equipment manufacturers in Lithuania and Europe Novameta officially opened a new 17,000 square meters factory and introduced modern equipment.

According to Mindaugas Jonuškis, General Manager of Novameta, the move to a 3 times larger factory was determined by the consistent and significant growth of orders over the last few years and the visible production potential in the future.

“For the last 3 years we have grown 25% annually and expanded our export directions to more than 20 different markets.  To meet market demand and to increase our production, we had to gain more space and continuously invest in new technologies.

This year our investment exceeds 8 million euros. We have not only changed the premises, but we also renewed machinery. We have purchased a new modern laser and installed sophisticated equipment, which allows us to combine several different devices in one semi-automated line.

The robotization of industrial processes, increases our competitive advantage – high quality customised orders and show lead time. With new equipment today we can do some of our operations up to 5-6 faster.“

M. Jonuškis noted, that the main goals for the upcoming years are further growth of production and the movement to new markets in the United States of America (USA) and the Middle East.
